Sailing Tirhandil Xenos I Cruising Turkey And Greece
Xenos I is a tirhandil designed to
afford the ultimate sailing holiday along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coasts.
Tirhandils are "double-enders," meaning they have pointed bow and stern, and are the
descendents of Aegean caiques. No expense has been spared in construction of Xenos I, and she
has sacrificed neither comfort nor sailing performance. There are four double cabins with two
having an additional collapsible bunk for child or stowage. Each cabin has an en suite water
closet with fully enclosed shower. Above decks Xenos I's low profile is aesthetically pleasing to
the eye while her ketch rig supports a full set of efficient sails. Her skipper has decades of
sailing experience and sea lore. Xenos I carries a 40 horse speedboat and water skis, windsurfer,
kayak, snorkeling gear, and fishing tackle. She is air conditioned throughout with a
fully-equipped galley. The Xenos experience is truly unique.

Dear Homo Sapiens, There is no need to continue reading

by clicking on the maroon links immediately above. Thank You. Are you searching for Xenos I?
Or for the larger Xenos II? Or for the even larger Xenos III? Or are you simply searching for a
tirhandil charter sailing Turkey and Greece? Well, you've found the tirhandil and the tirhandil
is Xenos I! You must be thinking of a yacht charter in the Turkish sun. You may be dreaming of
sailing in Turkey from pine-shrouded cove to pine-shrouded cove. Or you may be considering an
Aegean cruise from one remote Greek island to another remote Greek island. In perpetual pursuit
of the perfect octopus salad. Or you are hoping to do both. Turkey and Greece together. On the
same holiday! Well, it can be done. How about doing it aboard a crewed charter yacht with
comfortable accommodations for four guest
couples? A crewed tirhandil charter sailing Turkey and Greece. A crewed tirhandil
cruising the Gulf of Kos. The Ceramic Gulf of Herodotus. Or sailing
Cleopatra's honeymoon route along the coasts of Lycia and Caria and among Greek Dodecanese
islands. While you holiday. Yes, have a Blue Cruise aboard a crewed sailing yacht cruising the
Turquoise Coast of Turkey and the Aegean islands of Greece. Have an extended-family holiday. Or
have a group of friends or associates holiday with you aboard a charter yacht proceeding leisurely
from one striking locale to another. Or charter a sailing yacht to cruise further into the Aegean.
All the way to Greece's Cyclades. Or, again, charter a crewed tirhandil to cruise further along the
Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Starting in Bodrum. Sail to Gocek. Or to Antalya. Or further. Are
you familiar with the saga of Sidi Ali Reis? Descended from a line of Ottoman shipbuilders, Sidi
Ali was one of Kheir-ed-Din Barbarossa's sea captains, and a good one, too, later gaining fame as
a writer and poet. In 1554 he was appointed to command of an Ottoman flotilla of 15 galleys then
at Basra and was directed to make for Egypt. En route he was engaged by successive Portuguese
flotillas of greater strength and then by a ten-day storm, also of greater strength, the latter
taking him not to Egypt but to India. There his remaining galleys were abandoned and there he, in
the fashion of Xenophon's Anabasis, began a long overland trek home, frequently rescuing
his crew from hostile natives by reciting his own
poetry. Upon his return to Istanbul the sultan, Suleiman, rather than punish Sidi Ali for losing
his flotilla instead rewarded him with a handsome pension which supported his writing, including a
book on navigation entitled The Ocean. Well, we can put you aboard a crewed sailing yacht
for unforgettable navigation through waters closer to Sidi Ali's home. We can put you aboard a
charter yacht with an experienced crew able to show you the flat sailing waters of the Gulfs of
Gocek and Fethiye, to show you Sidi Ali's tracks up and down the coast of Turkey, to show you
Cleopatra's Route up the coast of Turkey and into Greek islands. Xenos I, a superb crewed tirhandil
available for charter in Turkey and Greece. Contact Charter Yachts Turkey today at
