Crewed Yacht Charters Greece

The ketch-rigged Scorpio 72 is a proper crewed charter yacht
accommodating eight or ten guests in four or five comfortable private cabins
each with its own water closet and shower.
Created for the charter market by Robert H. Perry, this handsome yacht features a careful selection of innovative and sensible design improvements. Warm teak and mahogany and soft lighting combine with subdued modern furnishing to create a superbly attractive interior. The standard cabin layout consists of two double cabins on the quarters, a double cabin opposite the galley, and two twin-bunk cabins forward of amidships as depicted below, all air conditioned. On some Scorpios there is a single master cabin aft. Separate crew quarters in the bow are accessible by deck hatch. The teak-paneled salon and galley are fore and aft amidships, the former having two dining tables each comfortably seating five or more guests. The separate navigation station is adjacent to the galley and features 12v and 220v panels as well as navigation electronics. These elegant sailing yachts are the descendants of nineteenth century Yankee clippers never surpassed in sailing speed and are built for luxurious comfort and easy handling. The wide decks and twin cockpits promote a delicate separation of sailing and socializing.

Scorpius, meaning scorpion or the constellation appearing as a scorpion, the Scorpius dispatched by Apollo to slay the Hunter Orion in order to defend the honor of Apollo's sister Artemis, the Huntress, but so situated in the eastern sky as to never quite catch Orion in the western sky. Just by the tail of Scorpius, it might be noted, there is a star cluster now called Ptolemy's Cluster first identified by Claudius Ptolemaeus Pelusiniensis in about 130 AD. Philosopher and geographer as well as astronomer, this Ptolemy was an Egyptian of Macedonian lineage like most other Ptolemy's, and was in his time presumed to be descended from forebears of Cleopatra. Cleopatra cruised here in part because her forebears had ruled here. Among many other places along the Turkish Coast and on Greek islands, Cleopatra paused twice at ancient Lydae near Gocek. Why not begin your cruise in Gocek! Are you searching for Gocek in Turkey? For nearby Fethiye? Well, they are both about forty-five nautical miles ENE of Rhodes Town.
